Ghanaian Directors

Michael Nyahe is a Master teacher of children with special needs.  He has many awards to his credit with the GES.  He has been tireless in the pursuit of the well being of our residents. His service in the local government was a credit to our organization. He also heads our water division, bringing wells to remote communities in the Volta Region.

Priscilla Obekusu is a Master teacher of children with special needs in Ghana.  She also has many awards from the GES to her credit. She is uniquely qualified to consult on the importance of meeting the needs of these children due to significant events in her own life experience.

Staff

Wisdom Sodzah (Manager): Overseeing the general day to day functioning of the Sky House. Wisdom is also a carpenter who keeps the house in working order!

Frank Dzakadzi (Kente Master): Responsible to our residents who are learning and/or have mastered the local craft of Kente weaving.

Agnes Blekotse (Cook): Responsible for managing the food our residents eat, and cooking delicious meals.

Juliet Ama Aziah (Housemothere): Responsible for the well-being of our residents both during the daytime and throughout the night.

Joan Dolgin Founding Director

Joan Dolgin has been working in the field of Special Education for the last 35 years.  She holds a Master's Degree in Special Education, and has an expertise working with children who have autism. She has been given the "Women of Courage" Award by the Endless Possibilities and Hope Development Organization, for the groundbreaking work she and her colleagues are pursuing in Ghana, as well as the "Itanu" award for community inclusion from the UJA federation of Toronto.

 
 
 

Brian Mosko (Director of Fundraising): Works tirelessly to bring our vision to others who can help fund our home and the digging of wells.

Aubrey Spring (Director of Education and Collaboration): Works with our staff and residents toward land stewardship. Also brings a vast knowledge of educational principles with which he gently guides both our residents and directors.

Randy Purdy (Director of Organizational Function): Maintains that the vision and mission of TSIML moves forward in progressive ways.

Nick Purdy (Webmaster/Social Media Consultant): Maintenance of our social media accounts and online store. Brings a positive youthful attitude to the organization.

It is with profound gratitude that I have watched this idea grow into a beautiful reality. Our residents are thriving and the community embraces them like nowhere else in Ghana. The memory of my friend, Selma Sage z”l, lives on in this house!!
